After a rather normal childhood, Jennie found herself caught in the flow of normal life - hanging out with friends, parties, trying to live up to an expected image. As an athlete, she had run to keep in shape, but body image had turned negative and was beginning to take a toll. Then, she was invited to a running event at Hope Church and decided to attend church services.

At Hope Church, Jennie met others interested not only in running, but also in her spiritual growth. Through her friendships she saw the difference between how she lived her life compared to her church friends. That's when she decided to make Jesus the boss of her life. In her own words, "It just makes everything better."
