Put it Into Practice Where You Live and Play

Girls must demonstrate THREE or more of the characteristics of a wise leader as outlined in the WISE/ LEAD acrostics through her choices and/or behavior at home, school ,or church. Examples are given below:

W - WANTS TO PLEASE GOD MOST OF ALL

She chose to please God.


Example: She cheerfully did what is right before God by: obeying parents, helping a sibling or friend, tithing, or otherwise honoring God.


I - IDENTIFY AND CHOOSE WHAT'S RIGHT

She chose to do right, even when it was difficult.


Example: She chose to do her homework before playing, answer parents respectfully even if she didn’t get what she wanted, or put the goals and interests of another above her own.


S - SELF CONTROL WHAT I DO AND SAY

She chose patient or kind words.


Example: She chose to control her words, actions, or attitudes. (This could be after a correction or even before... if she can choose to do what is right and have self control in a difficult situation, check off this DO IT!)


E - EAGERLY LEARN

She listened and followed instruction.


Example: She listened to advice from parents, teachers, or some other trusted source.


L - LOVE PEOPLE -BE KIND AND MEET NEEDS

She helped someone.


Example: She showed kindness to someone, gave generously to someone (like sharing a toy, dessert, etc.) or listened compassionately to someone who was hurting or sad.


E - EXAMPLE -PACE SET HOW TO LIVE GOD'S WAY

She chose God’s way.


Example: She chose to set an example for others in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. - choose one.

She stood up for someone.


Example: She chose to stand up for what she knew was right OR she treated another fairly, not judging another wrongly.
