From the moment your preschooler arrives, he or she can be engaged in building with blocks, setting up a dollhouse, creating crafts, putting puzzles together, or playing catch! Our teaching style will put your child at ease and keep him or her actively engaged through large group story time and small group learning centers, designed especially with preschoolers in mind!

What Has My Child Learned
Today your child learned that Jesus wants us to be sorry when we do wrong. Children heard how Zacchaeus showed he was sorry for the wrong things he'd done. They talked about ways they can show they're sorry.
Questions to Ask Your Child
What had Zacchaeus done that was wrong? How did Zacchaeus show Jesus he was sorry? Tell about a time you showed that you were sorry.
Memory Verse - February 22nd:
"Never get tired of doing good" (Thessalonians 3:13b).

Hannah Prayed
Hannah and her husband, Elkanah (el KAY nuh), had no children. They went to the tabernacle (tent church) once a year to worship God. Hannah prayed and cried as she asked God for a son. She promised that if He gave her a son, she would give him back to God.
The church helper, Eli, saw Hannah praying and asked why she was crying. Hannah told Eli she was praying to God, and Eli responded, "May God give you what you prayed for."
Hannah and Elkanah worshiped God at the tabernacle, then they went home.
Later Hannah gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel. When Samuel was older, she took him to the tabernacle. She brought him to Eli and said, "Here is the son I prayed for. I am giving him to God."
Hannah told Eli that she wanted Samuel to serve God for all of his life. Eli worshiped God when he heard Hannah's words.

Esther Helped Her People
The king of Persia chose Esther to be his queen. Esther was a Jewish girl who lived with her cousin Mordecai (MAWR duh kigh).
Haman (Hay muhn), one of the king's helpers, did not like Mordecai or the Jewish people. Haman wanted to hurt Mordecai and all of the Jews.
"Go and ask the king to help us," Mordecai told Esther. "Tell him you are Jewish and that Haman wants to hurt us."
Esther know that if she went to the king without being asked, she could be in trouble.
Esther asked the Jews to pray for her for three days. Then God helped Esther to be brave enough to go and talk to the king.
Esther dressed in her nicest clothes. She went to see the king, and he was happy to see her.
Esther invited him to a special dinner, and the king listened to what she wanted. He helped Esther and Mordecai. The king punished Haman for trying to hurt the Jews.
God helped Esther and her people to be safe. The people shouted with joy, and they celebrated in all their cities.
